Calm Flight Buddy

Calm through every flight.

iOS 27In progress · 2026

This app is in development.

Calm Flight Buddy is a calm companion for people with a fear of flying, before, during and after the flight. The chat companion Sky listens and explains, guided breathing exercises help in acute moments, and a checklist prepares you for your next flight. For iPhone with iOS 27, free of charge. Plus is coming. The app is currently available in German only. It is not a substitute for medical or therapeutic treatment.

Features

Sky, the chat companion

Sky listens, calmly explains why a flight feels the way it does right now, and suggests concrete next steps, such as a breathing exercise. You decide what Sky may know about you.

Breathing exercises

Guided exercises with the 4-7-8 method, box breathing and coherent breathing. On the home screen, a “Calm down now” button takes you straight to an exercise.

Flights and checklist

Add your next flight and prepare step by step, organised into sections such as “The night before”, “At the airport” and “On board”.

Personal onboarding

Before your first chat, you choose your name, your topics (such as take-off, landing, turbulence, confined spaces or panic attacks) and your privacy settings.

iCloud sync

Flights, checklists and history sync via your private iCloud database. Vexalo has no access to it.

Privacy

What this app knows about you — which data is collected, and what for:

  • No account, no tracking, no ads.
  • Your name stays with you. It is never sent to OpenAI.
  • Answers via OpenAI are on by default and can be switched off at any time. Sky then answers only directly on the iPhone with Apple Intelligence, i.e. on iPhone 15 Pro or later.
  • Flight details and personal topics are only sent to OpenAI if you allow it yourself.
  • A random identifier only counts the daily limit for answers. The counter is deleted every day.
